Meet Dr. Ali Nasrallah, a visionary and compassionate healthcare provider who has dedicated his life to serving the Dearborn and Dearborn Heights communities. Dr. Nasrallah’s journey in healthcare began at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he earned a degree in Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience and a minor in Community Action and Social Change.
As a standout student, Dr. Nasrallah continued his studies at UM Ann Arbor, earning his MD and the esteemed Brehm Scholarship. After completing his residency at Beaumont Hospital in Wayne, he has made a deep commitment to serving his community, building the foundation of The Family Doc Clinic & Urgent Care.

Ahmed Mirza is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a diverse background in emergency medicine, urgent care, family practice, and addiction medicine. With a strong commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services, Ahmed is passionate about making a positive impact on the well-being of individuals and families.
Having graduated with honors from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston Texas, Ahmed possesses a solid academic foundation and the skills necessary to provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan. Drawing from his experiences in the fast-paced environment of the emergency room and clinic settings, he has honed his ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions efficiently. Ahmed has previously worked in Austin Texas, Northern Michigan, Ann Arbor, Metro Detroit, and Port Huron.
Ahmed understands the importance of health promotion and preventive care and is driven to empower patients to take control of their well-being. He has a particular interest in promoting healthy lifestyles and providing education on disease prevention.

Joseph earned his Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from Spring Arbor University, graduating with honors. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, he worked as a registered nurse in a high-acuity hospital setting, gaining extensive experience in patient assessment, critical care, emergency response, and chronic disease management.
Currently practicing at MedWorks Urgent Care and The Family Doc Clinic, Joseph evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. His clinical expertise includes preventive care, family medicine, urgent care services, chronic disease management, pediatric care, and in-office procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, and biopsies.
Known for his approachable demeanor and commitment to patient education, Joseph strives to empower patients to take an active role in their health and wellness. Miriam Amen, NP, is a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare provider who is dedicated to serving the Southeast Michigan community. Born and raised in Michigan, Miriam has a deep understanding of the area and the people she serves.
Miriam’s passion for helping others led her to pursue a degree in Nursing, starting with her Associate’s degree from Henry Ford College. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Ohio University and her Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University College.
With a wealth of experience in both Emergency Medicine and Family Practice, Miriam is well-equipped to provide a wide range of healthcare services to her patients. She has worked as an Emergency Medicine Registered Nurse and has since transitioned to a Practitioner in Emergency Medicine. After four years of service at Garden City Hospital, Miriam joined the team at the Family Doc Clinic & Urgent Care in Dearborn Heights, where she works alongside Dr. Ali Nasrallah to provide quality, compassionate care to her patients.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Miriam is also passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and wellness. She offers lifestyle coaching and women’s health services, in addition to primary and urgent care, to help her patients achieve their best health.
